Alongside his responsibilities as Chief Marketing Officer for MJ Hudson, Matthew leads the Investor Relations & Marketing service line. He advises clients on all aspects of positioning and communications, particularly in regards to attracting and retaining investors. Matthew is an active networker in the alternative assets industries and a frequent speaker at conferences and workshops. He has been a judge of the Private Equity Africa Awards since their inception.

Experience

Matthew has more than 20 years of experience in market research and communications, advising high-growth firms, fund managers and service providers to these communities. He has spent 12 years interviewing institutional investors and intermediaries on investment preferences, with a strong focus on alternative assets. Prior to launching MJ Hudson’s Investor Relations services, he ran the syndicate desk of a Mayfair merchant bank and was a founder of Incisive Media’s asset management research division.

Interests

Matthew chairs the regional link of the Chernobyl Children’s Life Line, a charity which brings disadvantaged children suffering from the aftermaths of the Chernobyl disaster to the UK for recuperative holidays. He is married with three children and is an enthusiastic member of the Private Equity Karaoke Club.
